The first person who spoke to me about Dinah Park was an old friend whose opinion I respect very much. My brother had passed away and as executrix, it was my job to sell the home. I hadn't lived in Corner Brook for many years and I first considered contacting a real estate agent who had sold a family member's cottage. While my friend agreed that he was a good real estate agent, she said that she knew of another whom she felt was probably the best real estate agent in Corner Brook. The agent-s name was Dinah Park. I got in touch with Dinah and she came in and saw the house; gave me an idea of what she felt was a fair market value. It was some weeks before she actually listed the home because I had thought I might be able to sell it privately. in the meantime, I had spoken with a couple of other people who reiterated what my friend had originally said: that Dinah was probably the best person for the job, someone who knew the market well and who would list the house at a fair value in that market. One of those people I spoke to was a funeral director at Fillatre's and someone whom I felt was very objective.
When I did contact Dinah in regards to listing the house, she was prompt to come in and go through the home and give me many ideas about how it should be presented. I think she was somewhat shocked (and pleasantly surprised!) several weeks later when she walked in because it was a very different style than what we had started with. She was very patient when I explained that I didn't want to put the house on the market until it was ready as I felt there were things that needed to be done beforehand. As a result when the house did go on the market we had multiple people go through that very first day and the next day we had three offers, one of which I accepted.
Although I know that there were times when Dinah was extremely busy and probably somewhat overwhelmed with the work she had to do... after all, real estate at that time of the year is at its busiest... but never did I see her impatient or less then kind and accommodating. She is a very genuine person and that in itself says a lot when you're dealing with someone in any kind of sales, and certainly in real estate. Should I need someone again in the future, it is with no hesitation whatsoever that she would be the first person I would call. Please feel free to email me or call me should you have any questions at all.
